As a Digital Targeter for the CIA, you are the creative architect and enable cutting edge operations focused on a wide range of priorities. You will apply your technical expertise to exploit clandestine and publically available information (also known as open source data) using specialized methodologies and digital tools to plan, initiate and support technical and human-based operations. Digital Targeters are investigative, pragmatic and driven to develop innovative digital solutions to complex problems, and effectively communicate these solutions to non-technical partners. You will be strongly supported to continuously advance and refine your technical, analytic and exploitation skills. Concurrently, Digital Targeters serve as primary digital interlocutors with key CIA and Intelligence partners.

Opportunities may exist for domestic and foreign travel, as well as technical and specialized training.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields or related studies:
    • Computer Science
    • Cyber Security
    • Economics
    • Engineering
    • Geographic Information Systems
    • Information Science, Systems or Theory
    • International Relations/International Affairs
    • Library Science
    • Mathematics
    • Security Studies
  • GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4-point scale
  • Experience in a technical field preferred, such as
    • Data analytics
    • Data manipulation
    • Research or analytic methodologies
    • Telephony and networking
    • Programming/scripting
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Advanced problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications:
  • Foreign language proficiency, especially in unique foreign languages
