Technical Project Manager

Work Schedule: Full Time
Salary: $58,638 - $145,629*
Location: Washington, DC metropolitan area

*Higher starting salary possible depending on experience level 

As a Technical Project Manager, you will lead projects that deliver key capabilities to accomplish the United States intelligence mission. Your teams will solve complex problems under your leadership by applying your project management, systems engineering, and people skills. A career as a Technical Project Manager will challenge you to apply your skills across the vast, global variety of technical and mission domains in the CIA.

Technical Project Managers drive critical technology programs in the Directorate of Digital Innovation (DDI) and turn user needs into operating capabilities. Your responsibilities involve integration of programmatic, technical, systems engineering, business, and personnel elements of project, including:

  • Defining requirements, concepts of operation, and architectures
  • Tailoring and applying program management and systems engineering processes
  • Leading and defending technical and programmatic decisions
  • Developing, managing, and defending cost and schedule
  • Conducting acquisition planning and source selection

Opportunities may exist for domestic and foreign travel, technical and management training, and assignments in other offices in the CIA.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields or related studies:
    • Engineering
    • Computer Science
    • Information Systems
  • GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently and in a group
  • Experience as a technical project manager
  • Self-starter attitude with initiative
  • Creativity
