CIA project management positions offer a wide variety of challenging and exciting opportunities to manage the delivery of innovative technology solutions to customers across the CIA, and the Intelligence Community (IC). CIA's multi-level project management specialty provides Project Managers with various levels of experience an opportunity to serve on and/or lead teams that adapt and integrate new technologies and enhance existing systems to meet mission objectives. Our Project Managers are the key to ensuring the Agency's business customers receive timely and innovative technology solutions that meet their mission needs.
Students will have the opportunity to work with other Project Managers who apply sound Project Management Lifecycle expertise to initiate, lead, plan, implement and coordinate the activities of single or multiple technical projects of varying size and complexity. They may participate in procurement activities related to their projects and/or other projects, and they would support the Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR). Successful candidates will have the ability to clearly provide project statuses to all levels of Agency, IC, and Homeland Security management and personnel, and will have a proven track record for delivering quality technical capabilities on time and within budget in a dynamic work environment.
Minimum requirements: Students should be pursuing undergraduate or graduate level degrees in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar IT Engineering discipline.
Students should have computer proficiency, good interpersonal and communication skills, some working knowledge of network topologies and protocols and the ability to work in a team environment. Interns generally are required to work either a combination of one semester and one summer internship or two 90-day summer internships. Co-Op Students work on an alternating semester or quarterly basis and are expected to spend a minimum of three semesters or four quarters (this can include a summer tour) on the job prior to graduation. A GPA of 3.0 or better is required.
