Ever wonder if you have what it takes to work for the CIA? Truth is, we hire all kinds of people from different backgrounds and with varying skill sets and levels of education. However, there are a few common traits in those people we find best suited for our mission of protecting America. Take this brief quiz and see how you match up to just a few of the many qualifications we look for in new hires. And don't worry, there are really no wrong answers. In fact, this is just a fun, informative exercise, not a true career measurement tool.

Are you on the right track for a career at CIA?

  1. Do you enjoy taking courses in science, technology, foreign languages, political science or history?

  2. Do you participate in group activities, including sports, clubs, student government or volunteer organizations?

  3. Are you keeping your grades up?

  4. Are you interested in getting a job right after high school instead of going to college?

  5. Do you really want to make a difference in life?

If you have answered "yes" to question number 4:

Whether you are continuing your education or not, there might be a career opportunity available for you at the Central Intelligence Agency. For high school graduates, we have positions open for numerous jobs, from support admin to maintenance and Security Protective Officer. You can view these types of positions here.

If you have answered "no" to questions 1, 2, 3 or 5:

What you do in life and school before you apply for a position at the CIA could make a difference in whether you get hired or not. We're looking for well-rounded individuals with records of accomplishment and excellent communication and social skills. In other words, superior team players. It's also important to want to make a difference in your job. Whether you become an electrician or an intelligence officer with us, you must want to work here not just because of the paycheck and benefits, but also for the larger mission of accomplishing something important for your nation.

If you have answered "yes" to all questions except for number 4:
