Hi, my name is Osman. I am a yellow Lab and my birthday is June 24, 2008. I know I look big, but I am still a puppy. When I was born, I didn’t realize that I would end up having the greatest job in the world! I’m an Explosives Detection K-9 for the CIA. I am very happy with my new partner, K-9 Sergeant Thomas. He has a great family and I love my new sisters and brother.
When I was really young, I went to school at the Seeing Eye Foundation to learn how to help visually impaired people get around. What my teachers didn’t know was that I have a very high energy level. I love to run and play. When I met Sergeant Thomas, we went through 10 weeks of very hard training so I could learn how to detect explosives.
He took me home to meet my new family and we immediately bonded with each other. Now I have a daddy (Sergeant Thomas), a mommy, three sisters, and a baby brother. We have a full house! Oh, I almost forgot, I also have new dog friends, Bonja and Reilly. Bonja, a German shepherd, is Sergeant Thomas’ retired Explosives Detection K-9 who he worked with before me. Reilly, a beagle, is just the old family pet. We all love to run and play in our back yard together.
If you see me working, please say “hi.” I love to meet new people and make new friends.
