KHALLAD AL-MADANI

Khallad, from Madinah Al-Munawarrah, Arabian Peninsula. Aged 28, married with one daughter. Killed in Chechnya in his sleep on the night of Wednesday 17 February 2000 when Russian aircraft bombed the house he was sleeping in. 1st hand account.

From the City of the Prophet (SAWS) to the Company of the Prophet (SAWS) insha-Allah...

This was your first Jihad and you arrived here at the beginning of the War in October 1999 with no training. Your inexperience did not deter you from participating through the entire defence of Serzen Yurt. Heavily outnumbered the Mujahideen fought here for two months against intense attacks from the Russians. During this period, including the entire month of Ramadan, you rarely left the Front and were always ready to do extra guard duty. Whilst not at the Front, you would usually be seen cleaning the room and cooking food for your brothers. You joked often with your room mates but never failed in your constant remembrance of Allah and recitation of the Quran.

You had the best of manners and were thus the best of companions. In your Advice Letter to your brothers you declared your love for the sake of Allah for Abu Habeeb An-Najdi (now martyred), Abu Ubaidah (Yemen- now martyred), Abul-Abbas (Kuwait - now martyred) and Abu Ali al-Yemeni. Some weeks before their martyrdom, you saw a dream that Abul-Abbas would be shaheed (martyred). Abul-Abbas (Kuwait) likewise saw a dream that you, Khallad, would be Shaheed.

When your Commander, Abu Jafar Al-Yemeni, asked for 20 Mujahideen from his group to go on a difficult mission, you volunteered knowing the hardships and dangers that you would face. It was during this mission that you were Shaheed.

May Allah accept your Martyrdom O Khallad and join you with the brothers you loved, Abu Habeeb, Abu Ubaidah and Abul-Abbas. Your grew up in the City of the Messenger (SAW) and you love for him led you to follow in his footsteps and fight in the Way of Allah. May Allah bless you with an abode in the company of the Messenger (SAWS) in the Eternal Paradise Most High.

Letter from Khallad Al-Madani to his fellow Mujahideen, to be read in the event of his martyrdom:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Beneficient.

All Praise is due to Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Beneficient. Allah is our Sustainer and the Bestower of Honour upon the Mujahideen. He chooses those with sincere belief for Shahaadah (martyrdom), Victory and Success. Although I have written these words, I do not feel that they shall be true for me and that I will destroy this letter after the Jihad. This is because Jihad is expensive, by Allah it is too expensive! Nevertheless I ask Allah to bless me with that even though I don't deserve it. My advice to the brothers is to make dua to Allah to accept my Shahaadah (martyrdom) and intention. I hope that all the brothers will forgive me for any mistakes that I made.

Allah is my witness for my love for Abu Habeeb An-Najdi, Abul-Abbas (Kuwait), Abu Ubaidah (Yemen) and Abu Ali (Yemen).

"They told us that we lost a Shaheed by his death,
But in truth he has not died,
He is content with Allah."

So my brothers, I ask Allah to bring us Victory and the swift destruction of the Russians without great delay.

But, as I write this letter, it is I that is grieving due to not taking part in the Jihad It is I that is grieving at not being in Jannah. It is I that is grieving to be a Shaheed.

May Allah protect you all, faily of Khalld, and give you many children that follow the steps of the Sahabah, as Khallad had.

Pray that my wife also becomes the wife of a Shaheed.
Pray that my mother also becomes the mother of a Shaheed.
Pray that my children also become the children of a Shaheed.

From the bottom of my heart I make this dua for Khallad: May Allah accept Khallad as a martyr and keep him in the best company which is the company of Prophet Mohammad (S) and his Sahaba (RA). Inshallah, Allah (SWT) will give you, the little princess of Khallad and your husband the best reward in this world and hearafter for the struggle to raise the Word of Allah (SWT). You and rest of us know that Khallad is not dead, instead he is content with Allah (SWT) and enjoying the best reward from his Lord (SWT). May Allah (SWT) grant you, O' sister in Islam, patience and make your Iman stronger than before.

May Allah (SWT) raise the little princess of Khallad as a true Mo'mina.
May Allah (SWT) grant patience and strength to the families of all the Shuhada of the Jihad in Chechnya.
O' Allah (SWT) I beg You, By the Grace of your Prophet Mohammed (S) please grant the quick victory like Battle of Badr, to your beloved Soilders in Chechnya and all around the world. And bring the Ummah back to Islam, Ameen. Ma'assalam.

How lucky you are to be a shaheed, but then I know it is not luck that made you a shaheed. How worthy you are ,for truly Allah chooses from the best of the best, and Allah is the all knowing. How I pray I be a shaheed and that Allah will bestow me this honour, but then talk is cheap, deed is what counts.

To your family, I say Mabrook a thousand times.
To your mother, I say what a privilege to have given birth to a shaheed.
To your father, I say what an hounor to have your name carried on a shaheed.
To your brothers and sisters, I say what a blessing to have had a role model of a true muslim among you. praise be to Allah the creator of all.

May Allah (sub) bless the mother who bore this great mujahid and the other family members of the same. He by Allah (sub) 's Abundant Grace achieved his greatest wish. I also as a mother of a nine month old baby boy desire the same wish for my dear son and hope one day will grant me also the same though I know I do not deserve the same.

Dear Sister, peace by upon you, and may the Almighty inspire you with patience and acceptance.

As I watched the pictures of Shaheed Khallad, I swear that the first thing I felt was envy. Yes, envy. I envied him for having found the courage and will to take the decision to join the Mujahedeen in Chechnya. Then, upon taking a closer look at his smiling, radiant face, I read peace, satisfaction, and hope. I imagined him, watching his place in heaven, lying under ground, and asking Allah (SWT) to speed Judgement Day...

Sister, losing a dear one is always hard, but you have lost a husband, and insha'Allah won a place in heaven through the favors granted to the Shuhada by Allah (SWT). Pray for him, and for his brothers the Mujahedeen that Victory be granted to them soon. May Allah (SWT) send a destructive earthquake on Russia that would render Moscow similar to Sodom and Gomorrah, nothing but rumble. Sincerely,

May Allah reward you all with patience and imaan for losing your loved once.

Please don't panic and cry for losing them as they are in a better place now insha-Allah where there is justice and happinness.

Their courage to go and fight in the jihad is a lesson to every Muslim in the world. They are teaching us that when a Muslim is happy, all Muslims should be happy and if one Muslim is crying, we should all cry with him or her.

How many Muslim women are raped and how many people are tortured in Chechnya now? Where are the Muslims? Do they all have feelings? It is sad and depressing to witness what is going on in Chechnya. No one is saying even a word against those who are committing genocide. Not even the so-called Muslim leaders. Shame on them and shame on every human who sees oppression and injustice and says and does nothing to stop it.

In the Name of Allah The Beneficent The Merciful

Dearest wife of our Shaheed, While I write this letter to you, I have my wife seated beside me and my nine month old daughter sleeping in the other room. I am from those who are praying to Allah regularly to accept me to be from the soldiers of Allah, fighting to uphold the truth and defend their oppressed brothers and be killed in this cause.

May Blessings and peace be upon your righteous husband and on you all, his family. We ask Allah, The Lord of all creation to reward you completely for the worship / Jihad of our dearest brother Khallaad, who I love, for the sake of Allah. May you and his daughter be placed in his company in the highest of the Paradises. May Allah take special care of you and his daughter till you meet with Khallaad in Paradise, In sha Allah.

Subhan Allah, I thank Allah again and again for making me from the Muslims and this spirit deep within me is revived when true examples such as Khallaad are presented in this day and age. To me they are the Sahabah of our age, amongst others. From Allah we are and to Allah we shall all return. Always remember that your son have accomplished the true goal of any human being should accomplish, and unlike any other dead people, my brother Khallad is actually alive in the best of Heavens and he is actually alive forever in the Jannat el-na3eem. May his family have sobr with ALLAH. Because of unselfish and dedicated people like this, Islam will always be alive, no matter how hard the kufar tries to eliminate us. For ALLAH is with us and that is sufficent for us. INSHA-ALLAH because of his actions his family will join him in JANNAH.

ALHAMDULLIAH this brave young man has completed his life in this dunia... and passed! Remember always that he is happy and living with ALLAH(swt). I will pray, and make du'aa for all the Mujaheeden in Chechnya and All over the world! Jazakum Allah Ou bekhair!
