Debates to Watch: Florida, Colorado, Illinois and Pennsylvania
October 04, 2010 10:24 AM
I'll be moderating a few debates this month. First up is a Florida Senate debate at 7pm on Wednesday, Oct. 6 between Kendrick Meek, Marco Rubio and Charlie Crist. (Tune into WFTV or WFTS.)
On Friday Oct. 15 my colleague Jake Tapper will moderate a KMGH Colorado Senate debate between Michael Bennet and Ken Buck as well as a gubernatorial debate between John Hickenlooper, Dan Maes and Tom Tancredo.
The following week on Tuesday, Oct. 19 I’ll be in Illinois for a Senate debate between Alexi Giannoulias and Mark Kirk, airing on WLS-TV.
And finally on Wednesday, Oct. 20 I’m heading to Pennsylvania for a WPVI match-up between Joe Sestak and Pat Toomey.
Don’t live in one of these states? Not a problem – you can watch the debates live on ABCNews.com or on Facebook.
I hope you’ll tune in.

I am really enjoying this election, all of these guys who said they could fix things last election are now running scaired. You know I have watched the way the Government has said they are going to fix things and every time they do the same things every body eles have done AND IT STIL ASN'T WORKED IS THIS NOT ENOUGH ! DON'T YOU THINK WE NEED TO TRY SOME THING ELES LIKE GIVING WE THE PEOPLE A BREAK !

I think that if the tea party people don't get in this time they will be next time because i see these old politicians be their irrigant selfives and not doing anything again and going back to old buisness and driving the country farther into the hole until we have no jobs and people are living off of the government, and sucking more money out of us, how many times can you rise taxes till we can't pay them, how do they think the economy can keep going up and the wages stay the same. I am not saying we need to keep rising the minimum wage because that is plainly not working, so maybe start looking at the taxes they are imposing on us, and start thowing a bone toward us and they would see how much spending would start happening, it does take a smart person to see if you don't have money you don't spend it.

I lived in Pennsylvania for 24 years and have lived in the Washington D.C. area for the last eight. During the preparation for elections and in their aftermath I have learned quite a lot
about other states: their history, problems, attitudes, and outlook, as in the four states whose debates you will be moderating. It is an education and not just in a political sense.
