Sharron Angle and the Nevada Press Corps
October 25, 2010 6:26 PM
ABC News' Gregory Simmons reports: It appears a game of cat and mouse is unfolding between Republican Senate hopeful, Sharron Angle, and the Nevada Press Corps.
The Las Vegas Sun reported today that Angle, who is locked in a fierce political battle with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, allegedly used a decoy as she exited a campaign event. According to media reports, after arriving, Angle blew by reporters on her way into the event.
Angle’s exit, however, is where the controversy lies.
The Nevada Democratic Party, who has set up a website to track Angle’s whereabouts, described it this way: “[An Angle staffer] shouted out to reporters that they would take their candidate out the front to two vehicles waiting to whisk her back to the bunker. Meanwhile, Sharron Angle was sneaking out another exit.”
The Angle campaign told ABC News that Angle was simply pressed for time: “It was a private meeting with Microsoft, which we were running late for, then we had to hit the road for a meet and greet in Lake Tahoe, which we were also late for.”
You can read The Sun’s write up of the incident HERE.

ABC news, a liberally biased network.
9 out of 10 of your posts have a pro-liberal spin.
The media is digging deep for so-called 'gaffes' by conservative candidates, ignoring gaffe-master VP Biden (our oponents are spending $100 billion)...

Who can blame her. The liberal media is chasing her around in the hopes of tripping her up. If I were her I would do the same.

Who can blame her? The liberal press only has one intent, and she owes them nothing.

I don't blame her either. None of the Main TV Stations are treating her fairly. I agree they are trying to trip her up. What ever happened to objective journalism.

There's a controversy when a candidate bypasses the press? Where was this controversy in 2008 when Obama didn't give interviews, and rarely talked to anyone from the press? Propagandists scum!!!! The lame stream media have betrayed this country!

Notice that the media never writes about how many times Harry Reid has ducked the press. He even hides from his constituents.
At least Angle's constituents have seen her many times at public meetings.
ABC and the L.V. Sun need to stop stumping for Reid.

She's a ridiculous candidate.

of course she doesnt want to talk to the press! every time this woman opens her mouth she proves what a poor candidate she is. To those complaining about media scrutiny here is a tip: stop supporting morons for public office. I'm sure the republican party can do a lot better than Angle!! you dont see intelligent republican candidates getting any more negative coverage than intelligent democratic candidates. It is the worst kind of irresponsibility for any party to not put forward the best prepared most intelligent people given the problems this country hs been facing since 2008.

ABC talks like the enemy camp. ABC walks like the enemy camp. ABC not a credible news source. ABC is the enemy camp.
If I were Sharron I wouldn't let reporters from any of the lamestream media anywhere near me.
