CIA Named One of America's Greatest Places to Work with a Law Degree

November 5, 1998

The Central Intelligence Agency was recently named one of ''America's Greatest Places to Work with a Law Degree'' in a newly published reference book with the same name. Written by Kimm Alayne Walton, J.D., and published by Harcourt Brace Legal and Professional Publications, the profile on CIA attorneys who work in the Office of General Counsel (OGC) answers such questions as who gets hired; how to apply; what CIA looks for in both summer and permanent hires; and what it is like to work at the CIA--from the lawyers in the OGC. Approximately 100 lawyers work in OGC and they have regular contact with the White House, National Security Council, Defense, State, Justice, Treasury, Commerce, and other Intelligence Community agencies.
