By this time, I hope you will have received the documents

nection, I nm returning the article h I., IT
which I have had copied. Ldrmemention at tlis time that I an
still studying the book on toxicology by Lewin which you loaned
me and when I have finished reading it and making ,notes, I will
send it to you immediately.
. I ism takinq, the lil7erty of sending you some excerpts from
one of the publication- of the House Committee on Un-American
Activities. As a criminolovist, you should find this paper in-
terestin7 although, of course, you nny have received it.a long
time ago. The problem of the homicide in this particaS,r c,se,
and based on what I have road is apparently quite nn
one and if you could ever find the time, I would like to have
your comments on "Death by Inhibition" as set out in the excerpts.
Perhaps you have handled, in your work, similar cases.
If you will recall in our confidential discussion, the
question of to what extent individuals could be controlled under
hypnosis and the question of death by various hypnotic means has
.been theoretically debated by myself and my associates on many
-&casions.
