1 will be attending a meeting of the Federation of Societies
for Experimental Biology and medicine in Chicago, on April
15-19th and .1 hope to see you there. In checking the program
I. note a number of papers which are of some interest to us.
I am enclosing copies of the following reports which I think
will interest you:
1. Effects of Acute Administration of BAS in Man,
2. Attempted Blocking of the LSD Reaction with BAS,
3. Acute Effects of Large Doses of SQL in Man,
4. Attempts to Block LSD with. SQL Given Simumtaneously
with LSD,
S. Attempts to Block the LSD Reaction by Pretreatment
with 20L for Two Days.
You will notice that the results of the last experiment were
disappointing, probably because of the small number of subjects,
and because 4. of the 8 subjects did not have significant mental
reactions to the doses of LSD used.
In the near.future I hope to repeat the experiments with SQL,
and also to test the effects of SQL given 2-4 hours before LSD..
I also hope to study blocking of the LSD-effect in man with
Dibenzaline.
