2. There was an apparent misunderstanding regarding
the cost of maintaining this program. Flowever,, ORD has agreed
to reprogram some funds for this end. Vie understand from Drr

3. "Recent d,.--,:monstrations given to representatives of
the Clandestine Services were quite encouraging. Efforts this
year will concentrate on the operational usefulness� of these sys-
teLns. No effort will be made to further the state-of-the-art or
c..rry out research and development to improve the capabilities
of these animals.
