The creation of a uniform veterans's organiration seems now to be eertremely
doubtful. The Goslar-group, headed by Dr. Verner Noaelc, believes that the
Bled )eutscher Soldeten (BDS) (Federation of German Soldiers) and the Krakau
group, supported by the Soldeten Zeitung and right wing politicians, are opposed
to the formetion of an unpoliticel veterans' organization. These elements are
believed to be strong. enough to insure. a nationalistic typo of leadership as
represented by Colonel-General Hans Febsener.
The issue will be debeted at the Wiesbaden conference in early February. The
Gooier group le erepered to split the veterans' organization if it is outvoted.
It believes that only a minority of the veterans are now organized and that
each moue will have an opportunity to appeal to the majority for support.
This course of action is preferred once the division has been made-
