All documents related to the CIA Inspector General's investigation regarding the Agency's collaboration with NYPD; 2. All legal analyses conducted by the CIA Inspector General's office regarding the CIA's collaboration with the NYPD; 3. All final reports issued as a result of the CIA Inspector General's investigation; 4. Any communications between the CIA Inspector General's office and the NYPD regarding the Agency's collaboration with the NYPD. We have assigned your request the reference number above. Please use this number when corresponding so that we can identify it easily. You have requested expedited processing. We handle all requests in the order we receive them; that is, "first-in, first-out." We make exceptions to this rule only when a requester establishes a compelling need in accordance with the FOIA, 5 U.S.C. � 552, as amended. Your request does not demonstrate a "compelling need" and, therefore, we deny your request for expedited processing. With respect to Items 1 and 3, we are currently processing requests for the same Approved for Release: 2021/12/02 C05843840 Approved for Release: 2021/12/02 C05843840 records from other requesters. Once our research and review of those requests are completed, we will forward to you the same CIA-originated records, if released. We have a substantial backlog, which we are working diligently to reduce. However, we will notify you once the processing of the original requests are complete. Regarding Items 2 and 4, the CIA Information Act, 50 U.S.C. � 431, as amended, exempts CIA operational files from the search, review, publication, and disclosure requirements of the FOIA. To the extent your request seeks information that is subject to the FOIA, we accept your request, and we will process it in accordance with the FOIA, 5 U.S.C. � 552, as amended. We will search for records up to and including the date the Agency starts its search. In accordance with our regulation, as a matter of administrative discretion, the Agency has waived the fees for this request. Meanwhile, we will begin processing your request.
