c Approved for Release: 2019/07/30 C06527537 I IIP 3.3(h)(2) 6.2(d) NOTE TO: Clint SUBJECT: Telecon with 13 August 1974 9 August 1. The prison overflight was not successful, strickly speaking. Two flights were attempted -- not at Folsom (because of thp unn71 security precautions at that installation) but at 2. First flight, the bird went high and not directly over the prison. Some pictures of the periphery of the prison grounds were obtained but are not recognizable as such. 3. Second flight, the bird flew right over prison gate but took a long time to get there. All film had already been exposed. A Two valuable lessons were learned: (1) the trip to threw the bird out of kilter -- not use to it and didn't perform well until the second day. Solution will be to: (a) get the bird used to travel or (b) always plan to arrive ahead of time (or both); (2) the parked, pick-up vehicle was conspicuous (I think they got stopped). Cruising back and forth would have been fine. They plan to implement the luggage-rack scenario (with open back end). SE Tom E2 IMPDET CL BY Approved for Release. 2019/07/30 C06 27 37
