It is noted that your inve t,vo report of 2 April 1952,
New York City, on Alexander A. R4ine, wa, Noel - Naoum Racine,
was, pages three to four, conta4is information that on his Federal
Income Tax Return for 1947 Al der A. Racine claimed a deduction
for money paid to Dr. Harold "Abramson.
The above investigative report also contains information that
Confidential Informant T-4 of unknown reliability advised that
Harold Alexander Abramson, M.D., 133 East 58th Street, New York
City, Was known as a contact of the League. of American Writers and
that Confidential Informant T-5 of known reliability advised that.
during 1945 Dr. Harold Alexander Abramson was paid a total of
one hundred and fifty dollars by Philip H. Levy.
Your Bureau report further indicates that another Informant
advised that during the years 194F and 1945 Philipj. Levy paid
.six hundred and fifty-five dollars to Dr. Harold AnkrAmson.
Philip H. Levy is identified in the above report as haying been
an officer in the Technological Laboratories, Inc., which was set
up on 14 May 1938 for the purpose of facilitating the entrance into
the United States of Arthur Adams, a known Soviet espionage agent.
The above Harold Alexander Abramson is identic to the person
of same name, kgrzt._27._NalrembAt..)..�.29.,...Newifork_ci 6 is well
known in the .medical profession. For your information oul;y, the i
services of Dr. Harold Alexander Abramson have been used by this L,/
Agency in connection with several sensitive projects.
It would be appreciated if your Bureau woyid advise this Agency
whether Abrcmson was ever interviewed in regtd to his knowledge
of Alexander A. Racine and Philip H. Levy, Ai whether there is any
