Sanitized Copy Approved for Release 2009/11/13: CIA-RDP01-00569R000100050006-1 W 1W ADMINISTRATIVE --INTERNAL USE ONLY Tom Cormack Executive Secretary History Staff Bi-Weekly A representative from TSCAD spent a morning going over our Top Secret audit. Our systems were approved, but the spot check was deferred until all our holdings in Records Center are entered in the computer. Col. Shrader, chief, of the oral history program at the US Army Military History Institute at Carlisle, Pa. came by to discuss his program with Ken. Several new requests have come in. Two requests from State for some of their historians to have access to CIA material held by the Army (MACV material) and by the Office of the Secretary of Defense have been approved. Two other requests involving State were more questionable. We turned responsibility for getting approval to send the Berlin Tunnel history to a State Department official back to Paul Corscadden, the apparent initiator of the request. Another call -- too recent for us to have acted on it -- from Neal Peterson, deputy chief of State Department's Office of the Historian, requested copies of Agency histories from an as yet unidentified listing he had, apparently dating from about 1976. Bob interviewed Richard Helms on 15 June, in connection with his chapter on Chile. He has also been attempting to contact William Broe, now in Massachussetts. ttended a half-day workshop on the Records Center an Archives Management System (RAMS) given by OIS. Ken is attending the 2-day Wang follow-on course. Diane has resumed full-time work. Bob has returned from his 3-day leave, and Don is due back on Monday.
