1. I got John Stein's approval today for the release of Clandestine
Services Historical Paper No. 150, "The Berlin Tunnel Operation, 1952-1956
(SECRET)" I shall enclose our
copy, with the earnest entreaty that you take good care of it; there were
only two copies made, and I'm not sure whether DDO could produce theirs.
2. I shall be interested if you find any other study of the tunnel by
William Harvey, or anyone else.
3. I hope a good publishable article can be produced, and I hope
you'll let me know if I can help in any way.

Ken MacDonald holds the official record on the
25X1 tunnel. I suggested that as
Executive Secretary of the Board, review
that official record. Ken needs DDO approval
to release the report [CSHP dated 24 June '68:
