SUBJECT Information on CIA History Program
1. I'll attach copies of the History Program that the Executive
Committee approved in October 1981, along with two Headquarters Notices
concerning our work and the establishment of the History Advisory Board.
2. I should mention that while we now have underway two DCI studies, a
one-volume survey history of CIA, and a topical monograph, I'm not sure that
we'll ever undertake the multi-volume general CIA history that I proposed in
the October 1981 program.
