At long last, the much delayed transcript of our
conversation some months ago on the C'I71 Act of 1.949 and the
legislative liaison functions of OGC.
As you know, this project has been shelved, at least for
the time being. Even so, in going over this transcript I was
struck by the wealth of information it contains which will be
invaluable if we return to the project at. a later time. A good
portion of this is material which will not show up in the
written records which have been retained by the Agency. As a
consequence, your continued willingness to share your
recollections with us is all the more appreciated.
As you have done in the past, I would appreciate any
changes which you feel would clarify the meaning of the
transcript. There are a few places where we were unable to
make out one or several words; perhaps you will be able to fill
these in as well.
Also as before, we have not classified this document, but
as a matter of policy will. keep it closely held.
I ant enclosing an envelope to make it easy for you to
return the transcript once you have gone over it.
