Following the procedures in the enclosed "CIA Records Access Policy," we
shall arrange for CIA review of any documents and notes that we receive from
the Archives, and then send those that can be released to you at the
Directorate of Research, Defense Intelligence College.
As we discussed in our telephone conversation yesterday you should
especially note paragraph four in the policy statement, which requires
further CIA review if you plan to produce an unclassified version of your
Defense Intelligence College thesis or bibliography. I'll be glad to advise
you on how to go about this when the time comes.
I'll send a copy of this letter to Commander Watson at the Defense
Intelligence College.
