Dear Bill:
I have to report that the orginating component here regrets that it
cannot grant your office classified access to Lucien Conein's "After
Action Report" of 1 November 1963 as background for your interview of Mr.
Conein. Having reviewed this Top Secret report, they note that it
contains CIA information of continued sensitivity in the operational
intelligence area, which they cannot release.
Last August this same component released for your office's review
which I hope may give your istorians
the classified background information they need for interviewing Mr.
Conein.
