It was forwarded on 5 March. He also has attended a series of meetings dealing with the fate of the OSS records. Action now rests with the National Archives to write a procedural letter and with IMS to make arrangements for the transfer of the first batch of documents. Ken attended a half-day seminar at the National Archives on 13 March on the subject of Documentation Standards. He has also been consulting with d s. about selective declassification of historical recor lete ory Staff holdings bearing on com p counterinsurgency fo who, was look' for material on L DDI/OGI, who are preparing a stuay manual for DDO/IAD. Also completed was a short memo for the Chairman of the Critical Intelligence Problems Committee on the historical background of the current committee's predecessor. Bob has finished the first week of a three-week part-time course at OTE on Intelligence Successes and Failures. Don has arranged to interview on the subject of targeting and to consult with until recently the RMO for OD&E, on two of the later overhead programs. Diane has received back from DDO the last batch of documents from a series of requests by Dr. Wayne Thompson, an Air Force historian. This case has been running since November 1980, but she expects to be able to close it out this month. E___~has rearranged the office files and inventoried our holdings of the paraphrased histories submitted to the Senate Select Committee in 1975. He has rearranged our power outlets and Wang connections--and also disrupted our work. will represent the staff at the Director's speech today. The Society for History in the Federal Government will hold its annual meeting on 11 April. This is an all-day affair held at the Library of Congress. Ken, Bob, and possibly Don, plan to attend.
