Ken and Roberta interviewed three applicants for our historian

as withdrawn his app ion.

They will be in Chicago for the American History Association meetings
from Thursday through Sunday, December 27-30. Interviews with two
applicants and possibly more will be conducted during the meetings.
Ken, after checking with) (provided Stansfield Turner with
unclassified information in response to Turner's questions about the
formation and development of the Intelligence Community Staff. He will also
provide Mr. Casey with a copy of an article about Allen Dulles and the Bay
of Pigs that he wants to see.
We also have been in contact with CSI, about the
transfer to the History Staff of materials when Jack retires
at the end of the year. (Three boxes of documents were just delivered to
Bob interviewed James Critchfield. He has also been in telephone
contact with James Angleton regarding an interview in the new year and with
as a follow-up to his earlier interview.
Diane expects to have all three batches of documents sent here for
review by official historians in other departments dispatched to the
originating components for review by the end of the day today.
Don has been overseeing the readying of the new quarters in Ames
Building that he will occupy in his new job with DDS&T.
Members of the History Staff are beginning to disperse for holiday
leave. Arrangements have been made for a minimum of two people to be on
duty each day through the holiday period.
