Dear Mr. Angleton:
Just a word to say thanks once more for your help last
Friday. I've reviewed the tapes and can report that they are
full of choice bits of information that should make our
history more accurate and sensitive to the currents of the
1960s and early '70s. In this important sense, your
cooperation has been not merely useful, but vital.
I shall give you a call once we get the transcript
prepared. By that time perhaps you will have had an oppor-
tunity to review the one I left with you last Friday. As I
believe I said then, do not hesitate to mark it up--the more
comments, the better. This would be particularly appreciated
for those passages where you think we have missed or garbled
your actual meaning.
