Sanitized Copy Approved for Release 2009/11/19: CIA-RDPO1-00569R000100120059-5 22 January 1985 Do not let my tardiness in writing be misread. A bother- some virus and a desire to review the tape we made last Wednesday before writing conspired to delay this letter. However, I do want to thank you again for meeting with me. Your recollections add an important dimension to our study and--we hope--enable us to portray the events of the past with greater accuracy and sensitivity than otherwise we would be able to do. I feel fortunate to have been able to tap you as a resource. In a more personal vein, it was good fun to meet someone who could give life to so many of the personalities and issues that have been occupying my time of late. Our secretary will shortly begin the process of tran- scribing the tape we made last Wednesday. Once she has finished, perhaps in a month or so, I shall mail it on to you via registered mail for your review. Again, please know of our keen appreciation for your valuable assistance. And a special thanks for the chauffeuring you performed. I hope the drive home in the rain was not too unpleasant. I shall be back in touch shortly. Sincerely, Distribution: Orig - Addressee 1 - RMH .A - HS Chrono Sanitized Copy Approved for Release 2009/11/19: CIA-RDPO1-00569R000100120059-5
