I. In accordance with reference a), my staff officers have queried the DC l's
production committees and DDI elements most directly interested in the DCID's for their
views on the need to revise, rescind, or update the current DCID series. We have
compiled the comments for those DCID's on which we had assumed responsibility (see
reference b) and they are listed on the attachment for your information.
2. I hope the informal comments that are attached will be helpful in your proposed
rev'sion of the DCID series. If you have any questions concerning the attached please

3. As noted in the status report (see reference b), I would appreciate an oppor-
tunity to coordinate on the final versions of all those DCID's reviewed and modified by
other elements in the Intelligence Community.
