[Text] Tripoli, 17 Oct (JANA) - In t ay's issue, the newspaper
Al-Fa,/r A/-Jadid, which is published JANA, carried in the
column entitled "The Leader's Mail the text of a letter
addressed to the brother leader. The let r reads:
the peoples and the support for this struggle by Libya is a terrorist
action. The American people can ask for the proof; and even now,
we challenge Reagan and his government to bring any proof of
their allegations that Libya has practiced terrorism. The brother
leader of the revolution told ABC that the U.S. citizen is a victim
of Zionism in the United States, which is led by Reagan, Israel's
rabid dog, who does not represent the American people; rather
he represents Zionism and fights on behalf of the Israelis.
The leader of triumph and challenge declared. that there are no
problems between Libya and the United States; but there is a
problem between the Israelis and the Arabs and Reagan wants
to defend the Israelis and hit the Arabs. This means that the
American people are helpless, being ruled by such a person. He
pointed out that the U.S. secretary of state is a Zionist Jew and
that he is utilizing the United States for the interests of his
people.

[Text] The U.S. television network ABC has interviewed the
brother leader of the revolution on the failed U.S.-Atlantic
barbaric aggression against the Libyan Arab people, the causes
of the peoples' struggle for freedom, and the Great Jamahiriyah's
support for this struggle.
The brother leader of the revolution declared anew the Great
Jamahiriyah's support for the peoples struggle for their freedom.
He told ABC that the Libyan Arab people have trained the
fighters of Zimbabwe, the Southwest African People's Organiza-
tion, and the Palestinian revolution. He said: We are wntinu-
ing this and we shall not retreat even if the United States were
to hit us with nuclear bombs. The leader of triumph and chal-
lenge explained that if the struggle of peoples in the eyes of the
Americans and the U.S. Administration is terrorism, then we are
responsible for this. He said that the American people, who were
misled by their media, would have supported us fully had they
known the truth. But the American people are the victims of
strong misinformation; they were persuaded that the struggle of

continues its aggression and conspiracy against the Libyan Arab
people, he would be forced to form an international army num-
bering tens of thousands -hundreds of thousands, rather - to

He explained that he was not talking about the Arab leaders, who
do not number more than 20 and some of whom are agents and

States and because he recognised the occupation of Arab Pal-
estine.
The brother leader of the revolution was asked about the extent
of his expection of another U.S. military attack against the Great
Jamahiriyah.~ He answered that because the first attack took
place without justification and because the man who carried it
out is mad and is still in power, we expect this at any time. The
leader of triumph and challenge answered a question wncerning
the possibility of his sitting down with the Americans to solve the
problems peacefully by saying that it is possible to do so with
another U.S. president, but not with Reagan; I do not respect him
and I do not recognize him as a President. He is an agent for the
Israelis, and when a sensible president comes, I will negotiate
with him. He should represent the interests of the U.S. people,
not those of the Israelis. Israel is an entity set up in the middle
of the Arab homeland; what has the United States got to do with
this? This is a matter between the Arabs and the Israelis. We do
not want the USSR and the United States to intervene in this
problem. Leave us alone with Israel to liquidate each other or to
recognize each other. We are closer to each other in the end.
The leader explained, in answering a question on the chances of
Libya becoming communist, by saying that the matter is a
political one, not a religious one. Castro was not communist and
you have turned him into one. Nicaragua is not communist now,
but you will force it to become so.
Concerning the effect of the U.S. economic measures on Libya,
the leader of triumph and challenge declared that the Great
Jamahiriyah suffers no crisis and said that the United States is

a superpower and it; has huge potential and can influence people,
starve them, and terrorize them. It has proved its barbarism but
Libya does not suffer from any crisis. .

Agency - The leader of the revolution, leader of victory and
defiance, declared that American imperialism is seeking to turn
Europe into an arena of violence.
In an interview with the French magazine Paris Match recently
the leader of the revolution pointed out that the American
Administration is ready to sacrifice Europe for the defence of
America. He said for this reason the Americans deployed their
medium range missiles in Europe so as third world war would
start in Europe thus the Europeans who are aware of this fact
fear American domination.
The leader of the revolution ruled out the participation of the
French Government in any .future aggression which might be
carried out by the American Administration against Great
Jamahiriyah. He said "The first American attack was an act of
evil and the whole world condemned Reagan except the Ameri-
can aircraft carrier Britain and the racist Zionist entity in
occupied Palestine.
The leader of the revolution asserted anew that if America used
its military might he will be bound to leave Libya to set up an
army on international level consisting of guerrillas and comman-
dos to destroy the American empire.
He said the American fleets, ,intercontinental missiles and
nuclear bombs will be impotent in fighting this invisible army.

This is well known matter. There is no organised army able to
confront a secret army. It was secret armies which always put an
end to empires. This is my last warning and I will not hesitate.
The leader of victory and defiance, refuted all claims which
accuse Great Jamahiriyah of terrorism. In a reply to a question
by the Paris Match, the leader pointed out we did not carry out
any terrorist act either in Europe or America but if we decided
to do so there is no border unpenetrable.
Regarding a question on the stance of the Soviet Union in case
of a new American attack against Libya, the leader said "This
concerns the Soviet Union. Regarding the reply of the Soviet
leader Gorbachev on the proposal to join Warsaw Pact, the leader
of victory and defiance made clear that he called for the estab-
lishment of an anti-imperialist alliance wider and more compre-
hensive than Warsaw alliance and that will be achieved.
Regarding the Reykjavik summit, the leader said "It is like past
summits is doomed to failure. He made clear that the Soviet
Union would like to put an end to arms race while America would
like to turn the whole globe into its vital sphere.
The leader added "The Americans are not interested in peace
and Israeli mad dog Reagan told his Friends that the summit is
a historical opportunity for America to gain strategic victory over
the Soviet Union and Gorbachev will one day know that he was
deceived.
Regarding a question on recent bombings in the French capital
Paris, the leader of victory and defiance said "I have conveyed
my regret to the French Government on the victims of this acts.
I was astonished at the wave of violence which France exper-
ienced I do not know what France has done to have become a
scene of these acts. Perhaps there are things which we do not
know. The reason for that is that France is embroiled in the
wnflict in the Arab region also France and other European
countries in Europe are training terrorist groups and the coun-
tries of that region have their terrorist groups. This transfered
the violence of that region to European soil. This violence will not
end as long as the Arab-Zionist conflict is not resolved.
On the statements of the French prime minister before the
General Assembly in the United Nations in which he accused
Great Jamahiriyah as the cause of disturbance of stability in
Chad, the leader of the revolution declared anew that France is
responsible for the unstability in Chad. He said "France must
withdraw its forces from there and France was responsible for
undermining the stability of many African countries. France
organised coups in Central Africa, Chad, Congo, Guinea and
Niger and in general all French colonies suffered and may suffer
coups sponsered by France which would like to have specific
regimes. Even if the stability of one country is sacrificed we
oppose that. If a French soldier enters Chad we will enter Chad.
If France entered the battle in Chad we will enter battle there.
We are the nearest to help secure the peace and stability in Chad.
The leader of the revolution declared anew that Great Jamahir-
iyah is against the division of Chad. He said the legitimacy lies
in the provisional Government of National Unity and the existing
regime in Ndjamena is illegal regime. It is a minority regime
protected by France and there is no government in Ndjamena.
The leader of the revolution, victory and defiance, asserted that
the crusaders' hatred towards the Arabs is being born again in
the west it is a permanent hatred revived by the alliance with the
Zionist enemy. He said "We must make that clear to the whole
world and expose the existence of this racist alliance against
Islam and the Arabs.
The leader added that the crusaders' war has not ended and the
crusaders' onslaught is a tragedy to human civilisation. We
thought that the West went beyond the level of religious fanati-
cism and racial hatred but here it is starting that again.
On a question by the magazine Paris Match on American plots
against Great Jamahiriyah,, the leader replied "The American
Administration trained terrorists and got them into Libya and
that happened in 1984. We found them in a building man-
ufacturing explosives and preparing attacks and I know that the
West and America continue to train terrorists to get them to
Libya. The West is guilty of official terrorism towards Libya and
Syria. The terrorists who carried out attacks against civilians in
Syria were trained in the West and they are at present in West

The leader of the revolution reaffirmed that the great AI Fatih
revolution is a national and international revolution and that he
is leaving this revolution without a position. He told the cor-
respondent of Paris Match this is one thing you do not under-
stand, Ihave no official position this is a Jamahiriyah and not a
republic. I am leading the Libyan Arab people. The whole Libyan
