Many thanks for your heartwarming letter.
I have taken your wise inspirational words to
heart and will do all in my power to live up
to the trust and confidence placed in me. I
look on the job as a special opportunity to
serve our people and our nation.
You have good reason to be proud of John,
Jr.; he appears to be doing a splendid job for
our movement and its young people.,
John, I would love to see you and Marianne
when you're in Washington on the 14th of June.
