Dear John,
Thanks ever so much for your most thoughtful letter of
congratulations. It has been a long time since we talked about
the change of watch that was taking place in 1974. I am grateful
for all that has happened since then including this latest sur-
prise change of direction. It looks like a wonderful opportunity
to serve and I hope that I can fill the bill for the President
and the country.
Pat and I are delighted to get caught up on your activities.
We assumed you were still with A/U but delighted to know that
you've been made Executive Director. I am sure that you are
finding it more than rewarding.
If anything brings you to Washington do let us know. In the
meantime, again, thanks for your note and the very best to you
and Donna.
