1. I talked to Si Bunting on 21 July. Lew Lapham, the editor
of HARPER's, has invited me to contribute an article about the CIA of
2-3, 000 words. I told him I might well be willing to do that but couldn't
predict exactly when. Si suggested perhaps submitting something in
November-December for publication in January-February. Let's look
at the idea, though I'm not sure that HARPER's is the best outlet if we
try it.
2. I also agreed that I would go to Hampden-Sydney for an evening
dinner and talk/discussion sometime in April of '78.
