MEMORANDUM FOR: Deputy to the DCI for the Intelligence
Community
SUBJECT: Recall of SIC publication
1. An SIC'report related to Soviet ASW was dis-
seminated on 29 July in limited numbers. At the request
of the Secretary of Defense the report was recalled be-
ginning on 31 July. Fortunately, most copies were re-
covered in transit and few actually reached the designated
recipients. I wish to report that all copies have now
been returned.
2. Admiral Inman and I are preparing an even more
restricted dissemination list on a strict need-to-know,
named-addressee basis. The list will be approved in
Mr. Schlesinger's office prior to the dissemination of
the reports.
