Approved For Release 2009/04/20: CIA-RDP05T00644R000301020 04-5 ? i j` ADMIRAL STANSFIELD TURNER 22 January 1980 Dear John, Pat and I want to tell you how very much we enjoyed our stay with you for the Senator's Cup. It would have been a highlight of our year in any event, but at this time it was particularly appreciated. The pace of activities since the taking of our Embassy in Tehran has indeed been frantic back here. The opportunity to get away from that and relax in a congenial atmosphere was just what I needed. Indeed I don't know where we could have found a more congenial atmosphere. I say that not only with respect to the. marvelous group of people you brought together for the tournament but in commendation of you and all of your staff. I can seldom remember greater warmth and hospitality from every member of an organization like yours. It was such a pleasant, delightful and relaxing atmosphere for us both. Again, thanks for your kindness and hospitality.' We'll hope to come back some day as members of the clinic and really improve our tennis. In the meantime, every good wish.
