Dear Ad~rner,
On behalf of the U. S. Naval Academy Alumni Asso-
ciation it gives me a great deal of pleasure to welcome you
on board as a Life Member.
Your interest in alumni affairs is deeply appreciated
and we trust you will continue to take an active part in alumni
matters. You might be interested to know that it has long
been our policy to deposit all revenue from Life Membership
fees in the Association Endowment Fund. Normally, all in-
come generated by the Fund is reinvested so that it will grow
even faster. Meanwhile, most of the Association's operating
expenses are covered by annual dues received from regular
members.
Since you will not be paying annual dues, we hope that
you will be able to respond generously to our Annual Fund
Drives in the future. This is our only other source for pro-
viding support to the Naval Academy in areas for which appro-
priated funds cannot be obtained, and for providing services
to classes and chapters. Naturally all such donations are
tax-deductible.
Enclosed is your Life Membership Card, and under
separate cover we are mailing a Life Membership Certificate
suitable for framing. Should you at any time mislay either,
please let us know and we will be happy to send a replacement.
Please call on me if we at Alumni House can be of
assistance to you, your class or chapter. Again our thanks for
your support, and may you long enjoy your Life Membership.
