A I SUBJECT: Suggestions from F Women's Caucus I met with the Fell Women's Caucus on 20 July to explain CIA's affirmative action program for equal employment. They were in general favorably impressed with Agency efforts and progress; however, they made several constructive suggestions which I would like explored: Hire more women recruiters; Draw on the talent of women professionals and specialists when awarding study contracts, seek- ing consultants for NIEs, etc.; Bolster the complement of women with scientific and technical background by recruiting from the science/engineering department faculty of women's colleges; Improve the recruiting approach made to women; it was alleged that when a college graduate applicant is interviewed, she is told, can't tell, you exactly what you will do or exacta ,.f ..ihare you will wore, or exactly what skills you will require, but do you type?". `STANS IELD TURNER Approved For Release 2009/05/21: CIA-RDP05T00644R000601720009-0
