-SUBJECT: Briefing on the Administration's Procurement Reforms
The Honorable Donald E. Sowle, the Administrator of OMB's Office of Federal
Procurement Policy, will brief AM1G member agencies on the new Federal Acquisition
Regulations and other procurement reform initiatives on Tuesday, December 6th5 from
' 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.. The briefing will take place in the Amphitheatre of the Federal
Home Loan Bank Board, at 1700 G Street, NW.
Mr. Sowle willpresent an overview of the new Federal Acquisiton Regulations -
which will replace all agencies' existing contracting regulations on April 1st, culminating
more than five years of government-wide effort. He will also outline OFPPs effortS to
increase the use of competitive procedures in contracting, and discuss recent
developments regarding OMB Circular A-76. Questions from the floor will be taken.
