In ligjt of the variety of special rates and commercial discounts that are offered
to government employees, this Office recognizes the need to provide guidance to
government employees concerning the acceptance of these discounts. As we attempt
to develop a workable government-wide policy in this area, we would like to have input
from the agencies. We have attached to this memorandum a short questionnaire,
which we would like you to complete. Your responses will aid us in understanding your
agency's current policy in the area and give us an indication of the approach you think
OGE should take in providing guidance on a government-wide basis.
Please return the completed questionnaire to this Office by June 15, 1985. If
you have any questions about the questionnaire, please contact Nancy Feathers of this
