In response to your comments on the previously drafted reply to
reference, a revised memorandum to Mr. Allen is attached (Tab A). It is
more responsive to the request for community review of the remainder of
PD/NSC-55 and cites several positive results of the review conducted by
the Committee on Compartmentation (COCOMP). Tab B, for your information, STAT
is. a brief report on the status of each of the 22 issues addressed by
the COCOMP. I recommend the attached memorandum be sent and that the
final report of the COCOMP, which will enumerate the 22 review items and
their disposition, be provided later to the NSC as a summary of actions
