OFFICE OF LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL
Friday - 26 January 1979
1. LIAISON In the absence of Holly Brown, spoke
with Cindy, in the office of Senator John Chafee (R., R.I.), and she advised
that the breakfast meeting on 1 February which the Director will attend will
be held in room S 138 of the Capitol. She said she would have Ms. Brown call
me on Monday with a list of freshmen Senators who will be attending. This
information was passed to the Director's office.
4. LIAISON Received a call from Joe Kinney, in
the office of Senator Robert B. Morgan (D., N. Car.), who requested a copy
of the Agency study having to do with the Soviet grain situation.
5. LIAISON Received a call from Sylvia Castellanos,
Senate Steering Committee staff, who requested a copy of "Dollar Cost
Comparison of Soviet and U.S. Defense Activities, 1968-78."
6. LIAISON Spoke with Chris Bond, on the staff
of Representative Ike Skelton (D., Mo.), to see whether the Congressman
would be willing to speak to our Advanced Intelligence Seminar on 2 February.
After checking with the Congressman, Ms. Bond called back to say that he
would be pleased to speak. I told her that the time was 3:00 p.m. to
4:45 p.m. and that we would provide transportation from the Hill to the
Chamber of Commerce Building and back to the Hill.
