CONSTITUENT Left with the receptionist in the office of Representative Philip Crane (R. , ill.) a suggested reply and a news article for a constituent, who asked whether the Agency "was briefing" former President Nixon. 13. ADMINISTRATIVE - DELIVERIES Dropped off with Craig Roberts, in Representative Jack Kemp's. (R. , N. Y. ) office, a copy of "A Dollar Comparison of Soviet and U.S. Defense - Activities, 1965-1975, " and a summary of an article from a Soviet military journal which he had requested. Also dropped off constituent responses with the offices of Senator Harrison Williams (D., N. J. ) and Re presentative C. 14. LIAISON Called Scott Cohen, Executive Assistant to Senator Charles Percy (R., Ill.), and covered sensitive additional information which related to an earlier query by Senator Percy. 15. LIAISON Called John Ochoa, Legislative Assistant to Representative Jim Lloyd (D., Calif. ), and reviewed the requirements for the Congressman's session with a DDS&T Career Development group on 9 March at 1:00 p.m. in room 2325 Rayburn House Office Building. I suggested parameters for Mr. Lloyd's opening remarks and told Ochoa I believe the remainder of the period would be taken up by questions from the trainees. 16. BRIEFING In response to an earlier . request, accompanied Noel Firth, OSR, met with Representative Les Aspin (D., Wis.) and Ed Schallert, of the Congressman's office, to discuss the dollar comparison of Soviet and U.S. defense expenditures. The briefing went very well and there were five follow-up questions. 17. BRIEFING Dr. Harland Strauss, House Republican Conference staff, called and I told him I thought we could arrange a briefing for the Conference on Cuba's role in Africa and it . was agreed we would be in touch later concerning staff participation and other arrangements afte:-- Representative John Anderson (R., Ill.) and Minority Leader John Rhodes (R., Ariz.) approve of the session.
