1. (Unclassified - RC) CONSTITUENT Called Ruth, in Senator
John Glenn's (D., Ohio) Columbus, Ohio office in response to her earlier
request for information on the arrangements for the funeral of Dick Welch,
r ece. She explained that

to take care of the matter.
2. (Unclassified - RC) FOIA Called Tom Susman, Chief Counsel,
Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Administrative Practice and Procedure,
and explained that we would not be able to respond to Senator Edward
Kennedy's (D., Mass. ),informal appeal of his FOIA request because most
of the principals were on holiday. He agreed to wait until 6 January for our
respofise.
3. (Unclassified - GLC) LIAISON Talked to Doris Lovett, in
the office of Senator Howard Baker (R., Tenn.), and set up an appointment
to see the Senator on Wednesday, 31 December 1975, at 1:30.
? 4. (Unclassified - GLC) TRAVEL Talked with George Seymour,
DOD, regarding the travel of the House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee.
As of the moment, Representatives Joseph Add'abbo (D., N.Y.), John M. Slack
(D., W. Va.), Neal Smith (D., Iowa), Jack Edwards (R., Ala.), J. Kenneth
Robinson (R., Va. ), and Sigyj4(D. Ill.), are going. It is possible that
Representatives George Shipley (D., Ill.), Elford Cederberg (R., Mich. ),
and Clarence Miller (R., Ohio), will go also. Mr. Terry Howe, State
Department, is also going.
5. (Unclassified - GLC) LIAISON Talked to John Maury, DOD,
and told him I thought it would be helpful if George Seymour., also of DOD,
accompanied the House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee on their trip.
Maury said he had no objections.
6. (Unclassified - GLC) LIAISON Bill Hogan, HOuse Armed.
Services Committee staff,. called and said he is writing their year-end report
on the activities of the full Committee and of the Intelligence Subcc mmittee.
He has six briefings listed and asked if we had any others. I said would
check and let him know.
