7. LIAISON Called Sharon Zelaska,
Secretary to Representative Jack Kemp (R., N.Y.), and asked for an
appointment for Mr. Hitz to meet with Mr. Kemp. Ms. Zelaska said
Mr. Kemp's schedule "is filled for the entire year." I thanked her.
8. LIAISON Called Dee Tully, in the
office of Representative Bill Chappell (D., Fla.), and asked for
an appointment for Mr. Hitz to meet with Mr. Chappell. We set
9:30 a.m. on 9 August.
9. LIAISON Called Mr. Orrick, in the
office of Senator Charles Mathias (R., Md.), and asked for an
appointment with the Senator for Mr. Hitz. Mr. Orrick said the
Senator's schedule is up in the air at the moment, but he said he
would call me early next week and we can arrange a date.
10. LIAISON Called Susanne Bingham,
in the office of Senator Jake Garn (R., Utah), and asked for an
appointment for Mr. Hitz with the Senator. We confirmed 10 August
at 3:00 p.m. in 4203 Dirksen Senate Office Building.
11. LIAISON Called Rich Hohlt, in the
office of Senator R.ILLILLIJIUL (R., Ind.), and asked for ? an appointment
for Mr. Hitz to see the Senator. Mr. Hohlt said he would check the
calendar and call me back.

the office of Senator Malcolm Wallop (R., Wyo.), and asked for an
appointment for Mr. Hitz to see the Senator. Ms. Brown will call
me back.

LIAISON Received a call from
Stan Taylor,Senate Select Committee:on Intelligence staff, who
said S. 2236, the bill-regarding international terrorism, mould
be reported out of the .Committee without a recommendation that it
be passed. Taylor said the report would summarize the-results of
the Committee's hearings on:the bill and he needed an Agency
representative to review, the report for security reasons this
afternoon. I agreed to ask OLC, to do this.
