1. Paragraph 5 contains a request for approval for FBIS to
publish an updated version of the FBIS telephone directory.

3. Most FBIS employees are engaged in dealing with information
from open sources; Many are subject to periodic rotation between
Headquarters and the field. A. current directory would improve
efficiency of operational and support activities within FBIS and
enable principal Agency consumers of FBIS products to maintain better
contact with those FBIS personnel who serve them.
4. The last published directory, dated 31 January 1977, is
attached for your review. This directory was classified Secret and
we would propose to classify the new directory Secret and institute
an individml accountability system for the directory foll9wing its
issuance.
