MINUTES OF THE FEDERAL WOMEN'S PROGRAM BOARD MEETING

MEMBERS PRESENT:
1. The EEO Plan -- The plan will not be submitted in its present
format this year. It will be redone ulth greater emphasis on affirmative
action and on numbers. This will permit the Board to rework its portions.
2. Directorate Coordinators -- It was reported that the FWP Manager,
; sent a memo to the DDCI dated 7 September, requesting
that each Directorate appoint a full-time Women's PlugLam Coordinator.
The position would be at the GS-13 level, reported that
the DDO has already approved such a position at the GS-14 level.
3. Nominations for Chairman of the Board -- OLC,
has asked that she be considered. The election will be in October.
4. Report on the Family Liaison Program --
reported that it appears the DDO is agreeable to the concept. Once
established the Office would serve the informational needs of Agency
families assigned overseas and returning stateside. There would be
two offices, one at Ames, the other at Headquarters. Each would be
next to OMS. Information on schools, housing, employment, etc. would
be available.

7. Brochure fdelkqency-WOmen reported that the
list of shelters and agencies providing support in case of rape or
domestic violence is going to the printers soon and hopefully will be
available by 1 November. It will give credit to CIA's Federal Women's
Program Board.
8. New Business
DDO -- Although there is no official WbrkingcGroup, there is
a groupmccting on Wednesdays trying to draft an Affirmative
Action Plan for the Directorate. Apparently there is a good
deal of divergence of opinion.
DDS&T -- The Working Group is arranging for mid-day films
on a monthly basis. The first to be shown is "12 Like You."
It is also working on a brochure about career development.
DDA -- The Office of Security is setting up an internal
training program. It will be at the GS-07 to GS-09 level.
College is required. There will be travel and relocation
for the first 4 to 6 years of the program. Of the 70 ap-
plicants for the program, about 10 women and minorities
have been selected.

9. Other Business
This is the 12th anniversary of the signing of the EEO legisla-
tion. The FWP Manager would like to commemorate this by
havg an auditorium program with a highikevel speaker. So
far is one individual under consideration.
The Board voted to have a one day conference on the develop-
ment of group skills for the Board and perhaps for the
Working Groups.

in Seattle, Wash. last July. She said it was a worthwhile
program for those working in EEO and women's programs.
