The Liquid "L" is a small glass ampoule containing liquid
prussio acid.
Instructions LM U when the ampoule is required to be
used it should be put in the mouth and held tightly between the
teeth, with the lips tightly shut. The ampoule should then be
crushed between the teeth. The user should then Inhale through
the mouth,. shut ths'mouth again, and hold the breath ae long as
possible. Unconsciousness will follow in a short time, probably
in about 30 seconds.
It is expected that there will be no pain but there may be
a feeling of constriction about the chest.
Death will follow without consciousness being regained.
If the ampoule held in the mouth is swallowed it will be ax-
orated unchanged and no hem will result.
' One ampoule will be quite effective unless the man concerned
is particularly resistant to prussic acid as happens from time to
time, (this applies to all drugs)-. If, however, two ampoules are
used the effect __ be slightly more rapid.
