QUALIFICATIONS
*(1) Is a graduate of the USAF Advanced Survival
school.
(2) Possesses at least 1500 hours total pilot time
of which 300 hours are first pilot jet time.
(3) Possess 1000 hours first pilot time of which
750 hours are first pilot jet time.
X4(4) Is under 35 years of age.
(5) Is a volunteer to fly the U-2 aircraft.
(6) Is physically qualified class II and have com-
pleted partial pressure suit indoctrination
in accordance with AFR 50-27 and SAC Supple-
ment thereto.
NOTE: * Not required for Staff Personnel.

U-3A FLIGHT TRAINING PHASE II
NOTE: (1) The following flight training will be accomplished by each
student U-2 pilot prior to receiving Phase IV U-2 transition.
(2) Simulated U-2 characteristics in the U-3A must be accomplished
with a U-3A IP who is current in the U-2 aircraft and within a
14 day period prior to the first U-2 sortie.
