SUBJECT: Plan for Refurbishing Equipment
1. The attached letter presents the OSA plan, as
briefed to D/SA, to rectify the materiel situation at
25X1A6a Action is considered necessary at
this time in order to prepare the materiel and facilities
25X1A2g for possible activity in the launch of Project
during early 1967.

2. Historically, the maintenance of the Project
facility and equipment at has been unsatisfactory.
This has been due to the lack of a project directed monitor
on the spot and the difficulties have been compounded by
obstacles interposed by the political situation which has
obstructed past efforts to send in maintenance teams.
3. This plan enables us to perform necessary
25X1A6a maintenance at where maintenance teams can
be sent with relative ease. This plan, when consumated,
will provide us with a basic set of equipment which can

augmented, as required, before actual deployment to
