He should receive it soon. Present activities at the plant center around production of the thermostat bubble which we will ship in new instruments beginning with No. 48. Field retrofits will beg April and will be complete early in May. Optical improvement program very successful to date with 22 of 43 instruments overhauled with new optics. We have decided on a . 006" thick sheet of glass to be used as the bubble mirror. This glass sheet eliminates the double bubble reflection and with the new thermostat bubble, gives a clear illuminated circle. Reports continue to arrive with actual shot records. We now have statistics on approximately 700 shots from the period 1 September 1956 through 22 March 1957. We continually compile error curves. When another one is drawn up, I will distribute it to the field via the newsletter.
