The dry lake that you described in your telephone call to Mr.
Hamilton yesterday, lies roughly in Townships 7 and 8 North,
Range 56 East, in the center of the Railroad Valley National
Wildlife Refuge. This land is withdrawn for wildlife purposes
but it has been proposed for restoration to the national land
reserve. You should therefore make application for most types
of uses to this office.
If you wish to apply for a withdrawal or a right-of-way under
44LD 513, you would apply to this office. If you want a Special
Land Use Permit however, your application should be filed with
our District Manager in Battle Mountain, Nevada.
