MEMORANDUM FOR: CAMPES Users
SUBJECT: Instructions for Use of the Mission Plan Generator
1. Attached are instructions for use of the mission plan generator
creation sheets, weather input creation sheets and MPP setup cards.
They are intended to serve as guidelines for mission planners so they
may accurately take full advantage of the Computer-Aided Mission Planning
and Evaluation System. These instructions will be revised by the
Advanced Applications and Planning Staff and by the Office of Computer
Services programmers as the program continues its development. Currency
of these instructions is a keynote in the accessibility of the various
options available in this program.
2. These instructions cover, in detail, the basic requirements and
capabilities of the Mission Plan Program. Close liaison between AAPS
and OCS is essential to take full advantage of all capabilities available
through use of CAMPES.
3. It will be necessary for CAMPES users, in coordination with AAPS
personnel, to continually maintain the various performance charts, vehicle
characteristics, doctrine, tactics, and other operational criteria, to
assure these computer input data are reflecting the accuracy necessary
for mission success.
